Santa Claus Parade

Every year I swear this will be the year that we finally take the kids downtown for the Santa Claus Parade.

And every year I manage to come up with an excuse not to go.  It's too cold, it's raining, they're too tired, it will be too busy, maybe when they are one year older....yada, yada, yada.

So this year I was very happy when the decision to go was made much easier by the fact that the office kids Christmas party was to be held at the Shangri-la Hotel in a room overlooking the parade route.

We would be warm and dry and well fed...hello good times!

Hubby had his final soccer game at that time so it was just us girls.  And we had a grand old time...

Front row seats for the skytrain!

aw...my little lovelies...

and front row seats for the parade too!

the hotel was definitely going to need to wash these windows...

the girls loved that the Grinch had been arrested by this junior officer...

Serious Santa

T asked for "100 Max & Ruby's" and M wants an "invisibility cloak"

He made it downstairs just in time to get on the float...phew.

back to the skytrain...

best balloon animal EVER!

we emerged from the skytrain tunnel to a beautiful rainbow...

And that is just the beginning of all things Christmas-y...

It's the busiest time of the year...here's hoping it's also a whole lot of fun...
